At the Bell Inn we have some very loyal, and very competitive locals that are willing to strap on their pads and pull on their drinking boots all in the name of winning!

We play an annual cricket match against the village team, although none of our team claims to be of a particularly high standard, we certainly always win in the drinking competition, even if that sometimes means our cricket ability suffers! However, this year is going to be different, and we're going to win the game! So if you'd like to come and watch what really is a great day full of fun and genuine community spirit, then your welcome to come for a drink and a burger as long as you're cheering for the Bell!

As well as the cricket we also competed in the 5-a side football tournament during the 2008 Saffron Walden carnival.
